Although they are referred to as “sentients”, they are not the only intelligent races on Demrefor; there are many other sapient races known as mystics. There are also several sapient draconic races.
Sentients are a collection of allied species with shared histories and cultures. They have world travel and communicate with those outside their own kind, unlike many mystic races. Almost all sentient races believe they were made by or descended from gods, in one way or another, and believe that this magical force of their creation is why they are almost all genetically compatible.
