Year Signs

Year signs, also sometimes known as moon signs (Animon) or the zodiac (human), is based on a 10-year calendar of astrological sectors that categorises people by the year and month of their births in order to assign them a representative constellation, animal, and symbol of the sky. These representations are often associated with different elements of a person’s character.

Because of the use of monthly constellations, year signs are often associated with the Aurn religion; though they are separate beliefs and the practice of one does not indicate the practice of another. In actuality the year signs are known to be of human origin, though they have been adopted by a large amount of Demrefor’s cultures as both a serious study and as a whimsy.

Every year has a symbol that represents the cycle of the sky, and every month is assigned a constellation that is most visible during its days. These two elements combined are how the representative animal and personality traits are determined.
