Equenix
Equenix dragons are a domestic breed of wingless dragon originating from Carra’Jor. These resilient creatures are common replacements for horses, camels, gryphons, and other mounts and caravan-pullers, due to their ability to withstand a wider variety of temperatures than most. Their ability to move between different biomes makes them perfect for travelling Carra’Jor.
On the smaller-side of working animals, these dragons are thick-set but short; on average they stand 40 inches at the withers and have a physical build not dissimilar to a mule. Despite their short stature they are strong creatures able to safely carry up to half of their own body weight.
Similar the mules they resemble, these dragons have short tufted manes running from between their ears to their shoulders. Unlike mules, however, their bodies are scaled rather than furred, with lizard-like patterns and short, stubby tails as a breed standard.
Gentle grazers by nature, these dragons are known for being rather timid due to their nature as prey animals; however, equenix stallions can be rather aggressive and it is not recommended to ride intact male equenix.
